Accused convicted to 7 year RI in a child rape case in Quetta

District and Session Quetta convicted 3 accused to 5 years rigorous imprisonment each in a child sexual abuse case on Saturday. The court also announced a fine of Rs.50,000 each in the case. Dawood Khan Nasar, the District, and Session Judge Quetta announced the judgment.

The court also issued permanent arrest warrants of an accused in the same case. According to police, four accused including Niamatullah, Kamal Khan, Rehmatullan and Najeeb Khan had subjected a 14-year old boy to sexual abuse. The first information report of the incident was registered on June 6, 2020, at Zarghoonabad Police Station.

Police arrested three accused in the case

Police had produced the challan of the case before the court. The court announced the conviction of all accused in the case. Police had arrested three accused. However, an accused identified as Najeeb Khan is still at large.

Violence against women and children has increased in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan recently. This verdict on the part of the district and session court Quetta has come two days after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested an accused in connection with the child pornography case from Satellite Town.
