3 people killed 2 injured in Panjpai Quetta firing

Staff Reporter :

A woman was killed in a firing incident in Quetta’s Sariab Road on Saturday morning. Police sources said the woman was killed by a close relative in the name of ‘honor’. The accused was identified as Jehangir, one of the close relatives of the victim.

The accused escaped unhurt from the spot. The dead body of the woman was shifted to civil hospital Quetta for postmortem. Police reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.

So far, no arrest has been made in connection with the murder of the woman, police sources said. ‘Honor’ killing has claimed scores of precious human lives in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. This incident has come almost a month after the killing of the brutal murder of a couple in Balochistan’s Mastung district.

Armed accused had killed the couple for their love marriage after three years. The victims had left a minor son and two daughters. Hitherto, no arrest has been made by police and levies in this regard.
