PMC approves registration of 600 medical students of Balochistan

Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has approved the registration of 600 medical students of Balochistan on Thursday. The Commission made this decision at its meeting held in Islamabad.

“Consensus developed about the registration of the medical students”, Ababgar Baloch, a former officer of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) said. He took to the social media network Twitter and announced the decision.

Medical students of Balochistan have been protesting against the PMC for what they called its stepmotherly treatment towards them. The Commission had earlier asked the 600 students to reappear in an examination to make sure their registration.

Senior officers of the PMC, Secretary Balochistan health department, Noor ul Haq Baloch, principals of medical colleges of Balochistan participated in the meeting.
