Balochistan Govt approves establishment of Cadet College for Gwadar

QUETTA: Balochistan government has approved the establishment of the Cadet College for Gwadar on Monday. This decision was made at a meeting of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo presided over the meeting. Member National Assembly (MNA), Muhammad Aslam Bhootani, MPA from Gwadar, Mir Hamal Kalmati, and others participated in the meeting. The meeting approved the issuance of NOC for the establishment of the Cadet College Gwadar.

The meeting made a number of important decisions regarding GDA. The meeting was briefed about the Gwadar town planning and decided to make amendments to the GDA act 2022.

GDA responsible for the development of Gwadar: CM Bizenjo

Speaking on the occasion, CM Balochistan said that GDA was responsible for the development and prosperity of the port city of Gwadar. He directed the GDA and other concerned quarters to protect the interests of the indigenous people of Gwadar while developing the old city.

CM Bizenjo urged the concerned departments to make sure participation of local people and fishermen in the process of development. “Rights of indigenous people must be protected”, he directed the officials. CM Balochistan directed the GDA to make sure provision of clean drinking water to the people of the port city. CM’s comments have come after the people of Gwadar have suffered because of the scarcity of water in the area.

A number of development projects launched in Balochistan

Quddus Bizenjo said that the present government has launched a number of development projects to bring the least developed parts of the province with other parts of the country. He assured that investors would be provided security and all possible support in Gwadar and other parts of Balochistan to complete development projects.

“We are trying to create a conducive atmosphere for investors”, CM Bizenjo said.
