ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued lists of candidates contesting the local bodies’ elections in Balochistan. The local bodies’ elections would be held as per the schedule on May 29th, the ECP said in a statement issued to the press on Monday.

Lists of candidates have been displayed in all concerned returning officers’ offices across the province. Except for Quetta and Lasbella, LBs elections are scheduled to be held on May 29th in Balochistan.

Candidates can withdraw from the election today (Monday). Final lists of the candidates would be displayed at RO offices tomorrow and election symbols would be allotted to them.

The election schedule for Quetta and Lasbella would be announced later, the ECP concluded.
