CHAMAN: Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Tariq Malik has announced the establishment of offices in 22 tehsils of Balochistan to address the grievances of the masses. The Chairman visited the Pak-Afghan border Chaman and inaugurated the NADRA’s women center comprising all-female staff members.
In view of the difficulties of the masses, the Chairman also approved the establishment of mega centers at Gwadar, Turbat, Panjgoor, Khuzdar, Naseerabad, Loralai, and Zhob. The mega center is already operational in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.
Mr. Malik also visited various NADRA centers and interacted with common people and the Authority’s staff members. The Chairman reviewed the integrated border management system, NADRA has prepared in consultation with all stakeholders. The integrated system supports the uninterrupted movement of traders, patients, pilgrims, and tribesmen living on both sides of the border.
NADRA centers are being shifted to solar energy due to power outages
In remote areas of Balochistan where the work in NADRA offices was affected due to power outages, the process of shifting all these offices to solar energy systems is underway. So far, NADRA offices in 32 remote tehsils of Balochistan have been shifted to solar energy in the first phase and another 48 offices will be shifted to solar energy in the second phase by the end of June.
66 women given jobs in NADRA
Chairman NADRA said that in order to bring women of Balochistan into the national mainstream, priority was given to 66 women in NADRA offices. He said that keeping in view the tribal customs, a special counter would be set up in 88 offices of NADRA for the registration of female staff.
Chairman NADRA also held an open forum in Quetta in which he listened to the problems of ordinary citizens and issued orders to resolve them on the spot.
