Per litre petrol at Rs.209: Government drops another mega petrol bomb

ISLAMABAD: Government has dropped another mega petrol bomb on the masses by increasing pert liter to Rs.30. Addressing a press conference, the finance adviser Miftah Ismail stated that the government has decided to increase per liter of petrol and diesel each to Rs.30.

Now petrol would be available at Rs. 209 and diesel at Rs. 204. The new prices will come into effect from midnight tonight. After the hike, the price of petrol will be at Rs209.86, diesel at Rs204.15, kerosene oil at Rs181.94, and light diesel at Rs178.31.

“The government is still facing a loss of around Rs9 in petrol despite a hike of Rs30 as we are not collecting any tax on the fuel,” the minister told reporters in Islamabad.
