QUETTA: Renowned political worker, Tahir Khan Hazara breathed his last on Sunday. Well-known social and political activist, Jalila Haider Advocate took to the social media network Facebook and announced the demise of Tahir Khan Hazara.
Late, Hazara had started his political journey through the platform of the then outlawed National Awami Party (NAP). When NAP was banned, he founded the Hazara Progressive Forum and from this platform, he continued to mobilize the Hazara community to play their due role in the politics of the country.
Later, Hazara emerged from the platform of political activists to become an influential voice against the killings of Hazaras in Quetta in the last two decades. Even in his old age, he continued his struggle and was under the influence of the left’s political parties.
He was a popular leader throughout Pakistan including Balochistan and believed in the unity and unity of Baloch, Pashtun, Sindhi and all other small nationalities living in the country. Scores of people took to social media networks and expressed grief and sorrow over the sudden demise of Tahir Khan Hazara.
