Christian community protests against Mastung attack

QUETTA: Christian community staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club against the Mastung attack. One person was killed and three children were injured when armed accused opened fire outside the Christian Colony Mastung the other day.

The protesters were chanting slogans against the attack and demanding the arrest of the culprits behind the attack. They were also carrying placards inscribed with banners demanding security for themselves.

The protesters said the Mastung administration had failed to provide security to the members of the Christian community. They demanded of the provincial government and the district administration to ensure the arrest of the culprits behind the attack.

The central leader of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Malik Abdul Wali Kakar also joined the protest and strongly condemned the incident. He said the BNP stands by the Christian community in this hour of trial.

“We demand the arrest of the culprits”, Mr. Kakar told the protest demonstration. Besides men, women and children from the Christian community had also joined the protest.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has already condemned the incident and directed the police to ensure the arrest of the culprits behind the attack. Mr. Bizenjo directed the police to submit a report about the incident.
