ISLAMABAD: Differences exist in the distribution of portfolios as Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo called on Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (JUI) provincial chief, Maulana Abdul Wasey in the federal capital. Chairman Senate Mir Sadiq Sanjrani also accompanied the CM.

“No breakthrough has been made about the joining of JUI in the cabinet”, sources close to Maulana Wasey told Daily Quetta Voice via telephone. They requested anonymity. This is the fourth meeting held between the CM Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo and Maulana Abdul Wasey about the religious party’s expected joining of the provincial coalition government.

“CM has sought one day more time to respond to the charter of demand”, the sources mentioned. The religious party has already handed over its charter of demand to the Chief Minister as a condition for joining the government.

Another well-placed source close to the CM said that Balochistan National Party (Mengal) was also considering the option to join the coalition government. However, no decision was made so far. The central executive committee of the party was likely to meet to discuss the option of joining the provincial governemnt, the source said.

“JUI F and BNP Mengal both may join the coalition”, the source concluded.
