Spokesperson government of Balochistan, Ms. Farah Azim Shah emphasized that Director General Public Relations (DGPR) should ensure to launch FM radio of the provincial government as soon as possible. Radio is still the main source of entertainment and information in the backward areas of Balochistan, she added.
Spokesperson of Balochistan government along with Information Secretary Hamza Shafqat visited the DGPR’s office on Monday. They inspected various departments of the department and later addressed the senior officers of the department. Director General Public Relations Kamran Asad welcomed the distinguished guests and gave a briefing regarding the performance of the office.
Measures taken for Cordial relations between the press and the government
While speaking to the officers of DGPR Farah Azim Shah said that, the provincial government is taking all possible measures regarding the cordial relationship between the press and the government in the province. Financial and administrative support is provided by government to the department so that journalists can get all kinds of facilities for professional activities, she mentioned.
On this occasion, Secretary Information said that, steps will be taken to develop the information sector technically modern and solve the problems immediately. He emphasized that the efficiency of organizations in today’s modern era is hidden in teamwork and we will all contribute to the development of this sector together.
FM radio must be launched soon: Information Secretary
“I Will always be available to guide and support the officers”, Mr. Shafqat stated while addressing the officers of the DGPR department. He emphasized that the FM radio of provincial government and and Digital Information System project supported by World Bank should be completed and started soon.
On this occasion Mr. Kamran Asad gave a briefing regarding the performance of the department and informed about the problems faced by it. The department is working fast to establish FM radio, while the cordial relationship between the government and the press and the wide publicity of the government’s performance continues.
