Balochistan local government and rural development sector plan launched during a function. This Sector Plan is being funded by the European Union (EU) and will be completed with guidance and consultation from the Department of Local Government and Rural Development.
The inauguration ceremony of this Local Government and Rural Development Sector Plan of the Government of Balochistan has been organized on the second of December at the office of the Secretary of Local Government and Rural Development, Quetta.
The opening ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Dostain Khan Jamaldini, Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Department, which was attended by members of the Advisory Committee and Monitoring Committee, Balochistan Rural Development Academy.
Program of Technical Assistance Project of EU Funded BRACE Program will be completed in five months by Rehman Habib Consultants (RHC) along with DAI Pakistan.
The Sector Plan will facilitate the Government of Balochistan in allocating an adequate budget and identifying other resources for the local government and rural development sector.
The Government of Balochistan’s Local Government and Rural Development Sector Plan will specifically strengthen the community-led local governance policy of Balochistan. Which has been prepared under the auspices of the Department of Local Government and Rural Development and with the support of other departments of the Government of Balochistan and is being submitted for Cabinet approval.
On this occasion, it was reiterated that the Local Government and Rural Development Sector Plan of the Government of Balochistan will be completed within the stipulated period and all the participating institutions will provide their full support in this process so that during the period of this project results can be achieved and the backwardness of Balochistan province can be reduced clearly
