Unknown accused opened fire and killed Hakeem Sheikh Abdul Baqi in Mastung district of Balochistan on Wednesday.
Police sources said unknown accused opened fire at the Hakeem outside his clinic on old Kalat road. He suffered serious injuries and succumbed to injuries on his way to hospital.
The attackers escaped unhurt from the spot.
Police and levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.
The traders community strongly condemned the killing and demanded of the government to arrest the culprits involved in the attack.
The traders community observed shutter down strike to mourn the killing of Sheikh Abdul Baqi.
