At least two people were killed in a landmine explosion in Balochistan’s Barkhan district on Tuesday morning. Levies sources said two people were killed in the Hun Nadi area of the Barkhan district.

The landmine explosion took a place near the Kohlu district. Levies and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.

The victims were local tribesmen of the Barkhan district. A large number of the people of Barkhan district also reached the spot and staged a protest demonstration against the incident. They were demanding the arrest of the culprits behind the attack.

Senior police officials reached the spot and held negotiations with the protesters. The protesters were peacefully dispersed and the victims were laid down to rest amid tears and sorrow.
