QUETTA: The mobile services would be suspended on the eve of the 9th and 10th Muharram ul Haram in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan. Sources in the Balochistan home department said a letter has been sent to the federal interior ministry to direct the cellular companies to suspend the network on 9th and 10th Muharram Ul Haram.
The decision has been made by the provincial govt in view of terrorist threats. The provincial govt has already placed all law enforcement agencies on high alert during the Muharram.
Besides the Police and Frontier Corps, the Pakistan Army is also on standby to tackle any emergency situation.

CM directs Police to enhance patrolling
Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has directed all Police officials to enhance patrolling and checking of vehicles at all entry and exit points of the provincial capital.
