IS Balochistan commander killed in Mastung operation: CTD Spokesman

QUETTA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have killed a key commander of the outlawed Islamic State (IS) during an operation in the Mastung district of Balochistan on Wednesday. The Spokesman of CTD said the dead militant commander associated with Islamic State (IS) was identified as Ghulam Mohyuddin Shahwani alias Shoaib.

The CTD Spokesman mentioned that the dead IS commander was involved in attacks on Maulana Ghafoor Hyderi, Jamaat e Islami (JI) Central Amir, Siraj ul Haq and a series of terrorist attacks in Balochistan.

He stated that the accused was also involved in the killing of Hazara coal miners and other laborers in Balochistan.
