57 thousand houses to be built in DHA Quetta: Azhar Munir

Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Quetta Administrator Brigadier Chaudhry Azhar Munir stated that 56 to 57 thousand houses will be built under this project. “There will be no compromise on the credibility and structure of the project”, Mr. Azhar determined. Moreover, he stated that the “public ballot map will hit the market by November and the early bird commercial map by January and electricity, water and gas supply projects will be completed soon”.

Mr. Azhar Munir expressed these views on Thursday while expressing his views on the occasion of the meeting held with the officials and members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Quetta Balochistan.

The Patron-in-Chief of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Quetta Balochistan Ghulam Farooq Khilji, President Haji Abdullah Achakzai, Vice President Syed Abdul Ahad Agha, and others thanked the Administrator of DHA Quetta and his team for visiting the Chamber. Mr. Ghulam Farooq Khilji said that there was a lack of a residential project compatible with modern facilities in Quetta City from the first day.

“We have hopes for a project like DHA, but we have to give confidence to the people associated with the industry and trade of Balochistan”, Mr. Farooq added.

The meeting discussed, “Since August 10, there has been robust development on the project”.

Since August 10, the work on development projects in DHA Quetta has been going on rapidly and we will give early bird position till 31st December Our focus is on Zone A of DHA, these views were expressed in the meeting. Furthermore, it was discussed that an 11 KV grade station has been built, from which 5 megawatts of electricity is being provided, but we will also get 4 to 5 megawatts of electricity facility soon.

Mr. Azhar Munir said that in order to meet the water needs, work is being done on the project of installing 19 Tube Wells with the geological engineers of the WASA department. “We have also been assured of giving pipeline from Mangi Dam”, he added.
