QUETTA: The tribal elder Malik Amanullah Khan Mehtarzai officially joined the Awami National Party (ANP) on Saturday. The momentous decision was announced in the presence of ANP’s central leader Amir Haider Khan Hoti, the party’s provincial president Asghar Khan Achakzai, and other prominent leaders.

Expressing his commitment to the ANP, Malik Mehtarzai declared, “I have decided to join the ANP,” marking a notable addition to the party’s ranks. ANP leaders Hoti and Achakzai, addressing the gathering, assured their dedication to safeguarding Pashtoon resources and rights within Pakistan.

Welcoming Malik Amanullah Khan Mehtarzai into the ANP fold, Hoti and Achakzai emphasized the party’s mission to uphold the interests of the Pashtoon community. The move is anticipated to strengthen the ANP’s representation and influence, particularly in the tribal regions.
