Armed accused opened fire and killed Waris Alizai Advocate in Mastung city of Balochistan on Wednesday. Police sources said another person identified as Haji Habibullah was injured in the attack. The injured man was an employee of the Mastung session court.
The accused opened fire at the vehicle and killed Waris Alizai Advocate on the spot. The assailants sped away on their motorcycle after the attack. The injured person was taken to the Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital for medical treatment.
Police and levies reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. There was no immediate claim for the attack. Police sources said the motive behind the attack could not be ascertained immediately.
