Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar meeting caretaker federal ministers regarding the arrest of Baloch women

ISLAMABAD: Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar reached the federal capital and met federal ministers regarding the arrest of Baloch women. The Governor met federal ministers Fawad Hassan Fawad, Syed Jamal Shah and Murtaza Solangi and discussed the arrest of Baloch women by Islamabad police the other day.

Governor’s visit came after the Balochistan National Party (BNP) Chief, Sardar Akhtar Mengal announced that the Governor would meet the President and the Caretaker Prime Minister regarding the women’s arrest. If the issue was not resolved, the Governor would tender resignation, Akhtar Mengal told a news conference.

The arrest of Baloch women by Islamabad police sparked an outcry across the country and the people demanded an immediate release. “This is a complex issue, and we will try to solve it”, Syed Jamal Shah, the federal caretaker minister said.
