QUETTA: A fatal explosion rocked Kuchlak Tehsil of Quetta district on Monday evening, claiming the life of a policeman and injuring fifteen others, including three fellow officers, in a mosque during Maghrib prayer. The tragedy unfolded in Kachlak village, Katir, where the blast occurred, as confirmed by police sources.
Promptly, the injured were rushed to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment, while police swiftly launched an investigation into the incident. A sizable crowd gathered at the explosion site, reflecting the gravity of the situation.
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, wasted no time in ordering a thorough inquiry, stressing the need to swiftly identify and apprehend those responsible. “We will bring the perpetrators to book,” asserted Mr. Bugti, underlining the government’s commitment to justice.
The bomb disposal squad promptly mobilized to gather crucial evidence at the site, while police cordoned off the area to ensure public safety and facilitate the ongoing investigation.
