QUETTA: In a significant move to resolve the ongoing deadlock between the Baloch Unity Committee (BYC) and the government, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, National Party chief and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, has emphasized the need for peaceful negotiations.

In this regard, Dr. Baloch also reached out to the Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, and Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, urging them to prioritize peaceful negotiations.

Dr. Baloch expressed concerns that unresolved issues through dialogue could lead to further complications and warned against the use of force, which would exacerbate tensions. He highlighted the importance of the government showing patience and addressing the issues through negotiations with the Baloch Solidarity Committee (BSC).

He stressed that using force would only heighten anxiety and complicate the situation further. The federal and provincial political leadership assured Dr. Baloch that they are committed to resolving the issues through dialogue. However, they emphasized that the BYC leadership must also demonstrate seriousness and tolerance in the negotiation process.

Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch directed both the government and BYC leadership to engage in purposeful negotiations to resolve the issues peacefully. He also appreciated the reconciliation efforts of all parties involved in Gwadar, recognizing their contributions to the peace process.
