TURBAT: Four people were injured in a hand grenade attack at the main chowk of Turbat Bazar on Tuesday, local police confirmed. The assailants, described as unknown miscreants, hurled the grenade at a busy intersection, causing panic and chaos in the area.

The victims, identified as Zareef s/o Muhammad, Adnan s/o Abdul Aziz, and Awais s/o Rasool Bakash, all residents of Absar, as well as Nusrat s/o Mola Baksh from Khushkalat, were rushed to a nearby hospital with varying degrees of injuries.

Zafar s/o Rooshan, a resident of Malik Abad, narrowly escaped serious injury during the explosion. Police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident and cordoned off the area. A full investigation has been launched, although no arrests have been made, and the attackers are reported to have fled the scene.

Security in Turbat has been tightened as authorities continue to search for the perpetrators.
