A bomb blast targeted a police vehicle in the Eastern Bypass area of Quetta on Wednesday morning, injuring at least 12 people. According to police reports, the explosive device was planted in a motorcycle parked on the roadside.

The injured were quickly transported to the Trauma Centre at Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Security forces have cordoned off the area, and an investigation into the incident has begun.

He further added, “The safety of our people and law enforcement personnel is our top priority, and such attacks will not deter our resolve to fight terrorism. The perpetrators of this heinous crime will be held accountable.”

Authorities are working to identify those behind the attack, as the incident raises fresh concerns about security in Quetta, a city that has experienced frequent violence in recent years.
