Dawood Ahmed:

Islamabad – October 19, 2024: Sardar Akhtar Mengal, head of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), arrived in Pakistan today after an extended stay abroad.

He was warmly received at Islamabad Airport by BNP leaders, including Sajid Tareen Advocate, Rauf Mengal, Ahmed Nawaz, and Akhtar Hussain Langove.

Mengal had previously resigned from the National Assembly in protest and left Pakistan following recent constitutional amendments.

His return marks a significant moment for BNP, as party leaders are set to meet to decide the next course of action.

Mengal recently voiced concerns on social media, accusing authorities of coercing two BNP senators for not supporting constitutional changes.

“If this persists, we may ask both senators to step down,” he warned.

Sajid Tareen condemned the recent police visit to Mengal’s residence at the Parliament Lodges, labeling it an attempt to pressure BNP into compliance. However, the party remains firm in its stance.
