Quetta: Mahmood Khan Achakzai, leader of Pashtun Khawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), has voiced grave concerns over the deteriorating law and order in Balochistan, following recent violent incidents in Musakhail, Dukki, and Harnai.

Declaring the situation “deeply disturbing,” Achakzai announced plans to address these issues through public engagement and a series of Jirgas.

The first Jirga will take place in Loralai Division on November 9-10, followed by others in Quetta and other divisions. According to Achakzai, these assemblies will gather public opinion, after which the party intends to adopt a “strict plan of action.”

Achakzai further criticized the role of the Frontier Corps (FC) and other security forces, alleging they “impose taxes on resources but fail to provide security.” He also claimed that civilians are burdened with taxes from both security forces and the outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). Expressing disappointment, Achakzai remarked, “All this is happening under the government’s watch,” and voiced his frustration with the current state of democracy in Pakistan.
