Dawood Ahmed:

Islamabad — In a significant move, the Balochistan National Party (BNP) has expelled Senators Qasim Ronjho and Naseema Ehsan Shah for defying party policies. Central Acting President Sajid Tareen Advocate announced the decision during a press conference at Islamabad Press Club on Tuesday, with Central Information Secretary Agha Hasan Baloch and CEC member Haji Hashim Notizai also present.

According to Tareen, the expulsion followed consultations with BNP leader Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal and other senior leaders. The senators were accused of voting in favor of a recent constitutional bill, aligning with the federal government against BNP’s stance. Tareen condemned their actions as a betrayal of both the BNP’s ideological roots, tracing back to the legacy of Rahshun Sardar Attaullah Khan Mengal, and the trust of the Baloch people.

“The party will file a reference with the Election Commission, as both senators prioritized personal interests over the BNP’s principles,” Tareen stated, stressing that from today, the two senators are no longer affiliated with BNP. He called on the Supreme Court to take notice of the incident, asserting that BNP and Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal remain resolute in their commitment to the people of Balochistan.
