The opening ceremony of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty was held at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU) Quetta. The event took place in the university’s video conferencing hall and marked the launch of a four-week training initiative by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), aimed at early-career faculty members from public sector universities.

The program was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, along with Director NAHE Mr. Sulaiman Ahmed, Focal Person NAHE Mr. Sohail Raza Mangi, Registrar SBKWU Dr. Rahila Manzoor, and Coordinator Dr. Tahira Mengal. The initiative, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), focuses on equipping lecturers and assistant professors with essential skills in three key areas: Teaching & Learning, Applied Research, and Professional Practice.

Dr. Rubina Mushtaq emphasized the importance of continuous learning for educators, stating, “Empowering teachers with advanced skills and modern teaching strategies is critical for fostering an innovative academic environment.”

Director NAHE Mr. Sulaiman Ahmed highlighted the program’s significance, saying, “The National Outreach Program bridges knowledge gaps and enhances the professional competencies of educators, preparing them to navigate the digital and post-pandemic educational landscape.”

The modules cover innovative teaching methods, technology integration, communication skills, and professional development. Faculty members are trained to use digital tools to enhance teaching and learning in a mobile-driven world while developing effective communication strategies.
