RAWALPINDI: Funeral prayers for Naik Muhammad Ramzan Shaheed (47, resident of Karak), Sepoy Gulfam Khan Shaheed (29, resident of Rawalpindi), and Sepoy Shah Nawaz Shaheed (33, resident of Sibi), who embraced martyrdom during the ongoing protests, were offered at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi, the military’s media wing said.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister, Minister of Information, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir NI(M), and senior military and civil officials.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the violence during the protests, stating, “Pakistan cannot afford chaos and bloodshed for vested political purposes. These acts of violence are unacceptable and highly condemnable, testing the restraint of Law Enforcement Agencies. The nation pays tribute to the martyred Rangers and police officials who have embraced shahadat, as well as those injured during these riots.”

The bodies of the martyrs were transported to their native towns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors.
