CHAGHI, BALOCHISTAN: A Pakistan Customs official was martyred, and another injured during an exchange of fire with smugglers in the Chaghi district on Monday morning.

According to officials, the incident occurred when customs personnel intercepted suspected smugglers. The martyred official was identified as Asghar Khan, son of Musa Khan. His body was shifted to Prince Fahad Hospital for post-mortem, while the injured official is receiving medical treatment.

In response to the attack, security forces have launched an operation to apprehend the smugglers involved. Raids are underway in the area to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

This tragic incident highlights the risks faced by law enforcement officials working to combat smuggling in the region. Authorities have vowed to intensify anti-smuggling measures to safeguard personnel and curtail illegal activities.
