PISHIN: Haji Qasam Panezai, who was abducted near Khanozai, has been recovered in Pishin district during an operation by Levies forces, Deputy Commissioner Pishin Zahid Khan Khilji confirmed on Tuesday.
The recovery came after mounting public pressure, with political parties and locals threatening to intensify protests for Panezai’s safe return. Acting on intelligence, the Levies force conducted a successful operation to rescue the kidnapped tribesman.
The incident had triggered widespread concerns over security in the region. Community members praised the Levies team for their swift action, urging authorities to ensure stricter measures to prevent such incidents.
Authorities stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the culprits behind the abduction. Haji Qasam Panezai’s recovery has brought relief to his family and the residents of Pishin district.
