QUETTA – Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has approved the establishment of a new girls’ school in Ooch, a remote area of the province, after a heartfelt video appeal from a young girl went viral on social media.

The girl, identified as Meer Zadi, shared an emotional video message requesting the Chief Minister to address the lack of educational facilities in her area. Her video gained widespread attention, prompting swift action from the provincial government.

Responding to the overwhelming public reaction, Chief Minister instructed the Education Department to begin work on the project immediately. A government spokesperson, Shahid Rind, confirmed the development, stating, “The Education Department has initiated procedures to establish a girls’ school in Ooch.”

This decision marks a significant step forward for girls in Ooch, who have long faced limited access to formal education due to inadequate infrastructure. The new school is expected to provide much-needed educational opportunities and contribute to the development of the region.

Ooch, which has struggled with underdevelopment, is now set to benefit from its first girls’ school, showcasing the power of social media in driving positive change.
