Staff Reporter:

QUETTA: Two individuals sustained burn injuries following a gas leakage explosion in Pashtunabad’s Street No. 18 on Wednesday morning.

The injured were immediately shifted to the burn ward of Civil Hospital, where an emergency was declared to ensure their treatment.

This incident occurred just a day after another gas leakage blast on the Airport Road left one person injured, raising concerns about public safety.

The prolonged gas load-shedding in Quetta has compounded the issue, as residents resort to unsafe measures to meet their energy needs. These gas-related explosions have claimed several lives and left many injured in the provincial capital.

Despite repeated incidents, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has remained silent, refusing to comment on the explosions or measures to prevent such tragedies. Residents are urging immediate action to address the hazards caused by gas shortages and leaks.
