QUETTA: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially issued the winning notification for Ali Hassan Zehri, a lawmaker from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), for the PB-21 Hub constituency. The decision comes after Sardar Saleh Bhootani of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) challenged Zehri’s victory.
Senior Minister Mir Sadiq Umrani and Sardar Baba Ghulam Rasool Umrani congratulated Zehri on the decision. The notification ends the electoral dispute, solidifying Zehri’s position as the constituency’s representative.
Mir Sadiq Umrani remarked, “This is a victory for democracy and the people of Hub. Ali Hassan Zehri has proven his mandate through due process.”
Ali Hassan Zehri expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank my supporters and party leadership for their unwavering confidence in me. This triumph is a win for the people of PB-21 Hub.”
The resolution of this case underscores the robustness of Pakistan’s electoral system and reinforces the PPP’s position in the region.
