A view of weather in Balochistan

Quetta – According to the Regional Meteorological Center Balochistan, the province is experiencing cold and dry weather, with partly cloudy conditions in most districts on Sunday. Central, northern, and northwestern hilly areas remain particularly cold. Similar weather is expected on Monday, with freezing temperatures in the hilly regions.

During the last 24 hours, Kalat recorded the lowest temperature at -5°C, highlighting the intense cold wave gripping the region. Other temperature readings across the province included:

  • Quetta: -4.0°C (low) / 17.0°C (high)
  • Samungli: 0.0°C / 15.0°C
  • Sariab: -2.0°C / 16.0°C
  • Dalbandin: -1.0°C / 15.0°C
  • Zhob: -1.5°C / 16.0°C
  • Lasbela: 1.0°C / 28.0°C
  • Khuzdar: 3.0°C / 19.5°C

Coastal areas, including Ormara (9.5°C / 26.0°C), Jiwani (8.0°C / 24.5°C), Turbat (9.5°C / 26.5°C), and Gwadar (8.5°C / 26.0°C), recorded comparatively moderate temperatures.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions as cold and dry weather conditions are likely to persist, especially in the hilly regions.
