Quetta: An exchange of fire between armed individuals and police in Sharifabad, Sariab, resulted in injuries to three police officers and the tragic death of a passer-by child, according to police reports.

The incident occurred when miscreants opened fire, leaving a team of police officers injured and endangering civilians in the area. A police response team swiftly arrived at the scene to control the situation.

The injured officers and the deceased child were promptly shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical assistance and further procedures.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and a search operation is underway to apprehend the culprits.

This tragic event has sparked concerns about public safety and law enforcement’s challenges in maintaining order in high-risk areas of Quetta.
