Zhob: In a joint operation led by Levies forces, local tribes, and area residents, Dr. Juma Rahim was successfully rescued from kidnappers, while three abductors were neutralized. The kidnappers had abducted Dr. Rahim and another individual, Masood Khan, from Qilla Saifullah a day earlier, Levies sources confirmed.
Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Naveed Alam stated, “One kidnapper detonated an explosive device to evade capture, while the other two were killed in an exchange of fire with Levies personnel and tribesmen. Unfortunately, Masood Khan was killed by the kidnappers during the confrontation.”
Efforts are ongoing to apprehend a fourth suspect involved in the abduction. “The operation reflects the determination and courage of our law enforcement agencies and the unwavering support of the local community,” the Assistant Commissioner added.
The incident underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring the safety and security of the region.
