Gwadar, 14 January: Gwadar police have arrested two individuals involved in human trafficking, who were facilitating illegal crossings from Pakistan to Europe via the Iranian border. According to police sources, the suspects were charging significant amounts from individuals in Punjab to smuggle them across the Iranian border.
The operation was carried out in the Padi Zar area of Gwadar, leading to the arrest of two suspects: Khalid, son of Noor Muhammad, a local agent from Pashkan, and Murad, son of Allah Wala, a non-local agent from Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab.
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gwadar for further legal proceedings. Police sources confirmed that both suspects were part of a larger network operating in the region.
Human trafficking remains a significant challenge in the region, with traffickers exploiting vulnerable individuals seeking better opportunities abroad.
The Gwadar police are committed to curbing such illegal activities and ensuring strict action against those involved in this heinous crime.
