Health Desk:

The Balochistan Health Department has initiated strict action against several hospitals for service suspension and unsatisfactory performance.

According to government spokesperson Shahid Rind, multiple medical officers have been suspended, and explanations have been demanded within two days.

Dr. Noorullah Musa Khail, the Medical Superintendent of Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta, has been immediately suspended and relieved of his responsibilities as the Director General of MERC Balochistan.

Similar notices have been issued to Medical Superintendents of district headquarters hospitals in Zhob, Killa Saifullah, Killa Abdullah, and Chaman.

The spokesperson warned that if unsatisfactory responses are received, stringent actions will be taken under the BEDA Act.

Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar stated, “Negligence in the health sector is intolerable. The suspension of OPDs for personal interests is a punishable offense, risking lives.

Ensuring compliance with Balochistan High Court directives is our constitutional responsibility.” He emphasized that competent officers will be encouraged, while negligent officials will face strict accountability.

This crackdown aims to address public grievances and ensure uninterrupted healthcare services across Balochistan.
