Over the past 15 years, Balochistan has witnessed significant loss of life, injuries, and property damage due to terrorism, with the provincial government providing over Rs. 6.88 billion in financial aid to affected individuals. In the last 18 months alone, over Rs. 1 billion was distributed as compensation.

The compensation program, initiated in 2010, aims to support families of victims and repair property damages caused by terrorist incidents. According to the Balochistan Home Department, a total of Rs. 6.88 billion has been allocated to victims and their families since the 2010-11 fiscal year.

This amount includes Rs. 5.32 billion paid to the families of 3,374 deceased individuals, including government employees, and Rs. 1.05 billion distributed to 3,952 injured persons. Additionally, over 700 properties damaged in these incidents were compensated with Rs. 507.2 million.

The highest compensation payout was recorded in the fiscal year 2016-17, amounting to Rs. 1.18 billion. Recently, between June 2023 and December 2024, the government distributed another Rs. 1.03 billion to victims and their families.
