BELA: A tragic road accident near Bela Jhao Cross resulted in the deaths of three people after a Toyota Corolla and a Vigo vehicle collided.

The crash caused severe casualties, prompting emergency teams to rush to the scene.

The injured were immediately transported to the hospital, where an emergency was declared. Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

The Quetta-Karachi Highway, often referred to as the “Killer Highway,” remains notorious for frequent and deadly accidents.

According to the Medical Emergency Response Center (MERC), most crashes on this route occur due to reckless driving, overspeeding, and the highway’s deteriorating condition.

The dualization of the highway has been a long-standing demand of Balochistan’s residents, who continue to face tragic losses due to its hazardous state. Despite repeated accidents and public outcry, authorities have yet to take substantial action to improve road safety.

Travelers and local communities are once again urging the government to upgrade the highway and enforce stricter traffic regulations to prevent further loss of life. Until significant improvements are made, the Quetta-Karachi Highway remains a major risk for commuters.
