From Our Correspondent:
Khuzdar: The Levies Force has set up a permanent check post in Dhadharo, Khuzdar, following a swift response by the district administration.
This move comes after Sindh’s failed attempt to claim Balochistan’s land, a step that was immediately countered by Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti. A large number of Levies personnel has now been deployed in the area to ensure security and protect Balochistan’s territorial integrity.
Sindh’s Attempt to Claim Dhadharo Rejected
Recently, the Sindh government’s Cultural Heritage Protection Department issued a notification attempting to declare Dhadharo (Kutte Ki Qabar) as part of Sindh. However, Balochistan authorities immediately rejected the claim, taking prompt action to safeguard the province’s land.
This is not the first time such a dispute has arisen. In 2018, a similar attempt was blocked by the then Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar, Sohail Rehman Baloch.
Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti’s Swift Action
As soon as the notification surfaced, Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti ordered Levies personnel to take control of the area. Upon arrival, Levies officials established a permanent check post, reinforcing security in Dhadharo and ensuring that no external claims could threaten Balochistan’s land.
Balochistan Government Reaffirms Territorial Integrity
Officials have made it clear that any future attempts to alter Balochistan’s borders will be met with immediate resistance. The Levies Force will continue to guard Dhadharo, ensuring that peace and security are maintained in the area.
