Quetta: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Balochistan has strongly condemned the tragic terrorist attack on Double Road, Quetta, in which renowned oncologist Dr. Mehrullah Tareen and several other innocent civilians were martyred, while many others were severely injured.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, the YDA extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.

The YDA Balochistan has demanded the government take immediate action, including:

• Declaring Dr. Mehrullah Tareen a martyr at the official level, similar to the recognition given to law enforcement personnel.

• Providing full financial support to his family to ensure they do not face economic hardships.

• Strengthening security at hospitals and healthcare centers to prevent future tragedies.

The association emphasized that Dr. Mehrullah Tareen’s martyrdom is a great loss to the medical community. The YDA warned that if swift action is not taken, it reserves the right to protest.

The government must listen to this call and ensure the safety of doctors and healthcare workers, ensuring peace and stability in society.
