KALAT, April 7, 2025 – One person was killed and another injured when unidentified armed men opened fire in Kalat’s Rosher neighborhood, police sources confirmed.
According to initial reports, the attackers—riding on a motorcycle—targeted the two men in broad daylight before fleeing the scene. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and no group has claimed responsibility so far.
Police said the deceased and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Kalat. The injured victim, whose condition is reported to be critical, is being moved to Quetta for advanced medical treatment.
Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation and cordoned off the area to trace the assailants. The incident has triggered fear and concern among local residents, who are calling for improved security measures in the city.
The authorities have yet to release the identities of the victims. Residents have urged the government to take immediate steps to curb rising incidents of targeted violence in the region.
