Qaseem Shah:
The government has introduced 21 new buses for Quetta and Turbat, aiming to provide citizens with modern, affordable, and reliable travel facilities. The new fleet includes four Pink Buses exclusively designated for women passengers, ensuring safer and more comfortable travel for female commuters.

This initiative follows the successful operation of eight Green Buses already running in Quetta, which have significantly eased urban mobility by offering low-fare and comfortable transport options to the public.

According to transport department officials, the newly added buses will be on the roads very soon, contributing to reducing traffic congestion, fuel consumption, and pollution levels in both cities. The new service is expected to enhance the overall public transport infrastructure in the province and provide a safe and convenient alternative to private transport.

The introduction of Pink Buses marks a progressive step towards women-friendly public transport in Balochistan, aligning with the government’s broader goals of gender-inclusive development and urban modernization.
