Kidney Transplants Resume at BINUQ After 13 Months

News Desk, Qaseem Shah: The new administration of the Balochistan Institute of Nephrology and Urology Quetta (BINUQ) has officially announced the resumption of kidney transplant surgeries at the institute after a 13-month suspension. The first transplant under this renewed initiative is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 25, in accordance with the Human Organ Transplant Act. All necessary preparations have been completed.

According to the spokesperson, these transplants will be conducted under the supervision of experienced specialists in nephrology and urology. The nephrology team is led by Dr. Fazal Mandokhail and includes Dr. Nadia, Dr. Habib Baloch, Dr. Hameedullah, and Dr. Sadiq Kakar. The urology team is headed by Dr. Hayat Kakar, with members including Dr. Shaukat Ali, Dr. Maqbool Jabbar, Dr. Ahmadullah, and Dr. Rashid Ali.

The administration has reaffirmed its commitment to providing state-of-the-art medical care to patients within the province, eliminating the need for them to seek treatment in other regions.

Additionally, the spokesperson revealed that a special discounted package has been introduced for patients from neighboring Afghanistan, enabling them to undergo kidney transplants at reduced costs.
