Qaseem Shah:

Quetta, May 1, 2025 — Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced strict action against government employees found involved in anti-state activities. He issued the directives during a high-level review meeting on the implementation of the Provincial Action Plan, held today in Quetta.

Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, along with secretaries of all departments, attended the meeting. The Home and Tribal Affairs Department gave a comprehensive briefing on progress under the Provincial Action Plan.

The CM was informed that several steps have already been taken, including the cancellation of route permits of 11 buses operated by different transport companies allegedly supporting anti-state elements.

“For the first time in Balochistan’s history, 1,436 closed schools have been reopened within a short span of two months,” the CM proudly shared, highlighting the government’s commitment to education. Officials from the education department further informed that appointment orders for 7,908 contract teachers have been issued, while another 3,500 will be appointed soon.

CM Bugti stressed that implementation of the Provincial Action Plan is essential for lasting peace in the province. “This is not just the army’s war against terrorism, but a fight for every citizen,” he said.

He emphasized coordinated efforts, merit-based decisions, and collective responsibility, saying, “The state’s interest will always come first.”

The Chief Minister directed officials to maintain strict vigilance over propaganda and anti-state narratives, especially on social media. “We must assess whether any NGOs are engaged in illegal activities,” he added.

In today’s era of AI and social media, distinguishing between truth and falsehood has become difficult, Bugti noted. “We must bring factual truths to the public, not just popular narratives,” he concluded.

He called for stakeholder consultations to introduce comprehensive legislation in the province to further strengthen governance and security.
