Syed Ali Shah, Manan Mandokhail, News Desk:
Quetta, May 14 – Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has hailed the courage and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces, saying they have once again made history by crushing Indian arrogance through sheer bravery and strategy.
Speaking at a massive public gathering titled “Jashn-e-Fateh” (Celebration of Victory) held in Quetta on Wednesday to mark Pakistan’s successful defense against Indian aggression, the Chief Minister declared, “The Modi government assumed Pakistan was weak. But our forces have proven otherwise — they’ve trampled the enemy’s arrogance with iron resolve.”
The event saw participation from provincial ministers, lawmakers, tribal elders, and a large number of citizens.
Bugti emphasized that Balochistan remains the frontline of Pakistan’s defense. “We are gathered here to pay tribute to our armed forces and leadership. Balochistan has always raised its voice for Pakistan, and it always will.”
He applauded the strategic and dignified response led by Pakistan’s military leadership, stating that the entire nation salutes their wisdom and bravery. “Every soldier who sacrificed his life for the homeland deserves our deepest respect. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten.”
The Chief Minister also addressed the internal situation in Balochistan, criticizing elements trying to drag the Baloch people into a senseless conflict. “The people of Balochistan have decided not to allow any ideology to be imposed through violence. Just as the separatist movement in Kurdistan ended recently, I see a similar end for such so-called movements in Balochistan.”
He invited misguided individuals to abandon the path of violence and join the national mainstream under the Constitution of Pakistan. “What kind of ‘national war’ is it that targets innocent civilians, laborers, travelers, and even fellow Baloch? This is not Baloch tradition, not Pashtun values, and certainly not the spirit of Balochistan.”
Bugti termed the ongoing violence a proxy war serving foreign interests, particularly India. “History is witness — when the state decides, enemies vanish. The nation saw this clearly on May 9 and 10.”
He reaffirmed that Balochistan’s people will never allow any narrative to be imposed at gunpoint. “No matter the sacrifices, we stand firmly with Pakistan — and we always will.”
Condemning the recent attack on a rally on Saryab Road, which claimed the life of a PPP worker, Bugti prayed for the martyr and vowed full support to the bereaved family. “The blood of our martyr will not go unaccounted for. The government will bring the killers to justice and ensure full support for the victim’s family.”
He concluded by stating that the people of Balochistan are not only brave and honorable, but also stand as an unbreakable wall in defense of Pakistan.
Other speakers included Parliamentary Secretary Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai, Mir Abdul Samad Gorgij, Mir Liaquat Ali Lehri, Malik Naeem Khan Bazai, and political leader Babar Khan Yousafzai, all of whom praised the unity and resolve of the Pakistani nation in the face of aggression.
