In response to the severe weather, the PDMA has placed all relevant departments and local administrations on high alert. PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia has instructed deputy commissioners and rescue teams across the province to remain vigilant and ready to handle any emergencies that may arise.

The PDMA’s central control room and all district emergency operation centers have been activated to monitor the situation round-the-clock.

“Authorities must stay alert and prepared for any emergency caused by wind and rain,” said DG Kathia, emphasizing that proactive measures can prevent further loss of life and property.

He urged citizens to adopt safety precautions during the ongoing bad weather. “Stay away from electric poles and dangling wires, remain indoors during thunderstorms, and avoid open areas where lightning strikes may occur. Limit unnecessary travel and drive cautiously,” he advised.

The PDMA continues to monitor weather developments closely and has called on the public to follow official instructions to ensure safety during this period of intense rainfall.
