QUETTA, May 30, 2025 — Spokesman Government Of Balochistan, Shahid Rind said heavily armed terrorists launched a coordinated militant attack on a government officer’s residence and looted a commercial bank in the Surab Bazaar area.
According to Rind, spokesperson for the provincial government, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Hidayat Baloch Buledi, was martyred while bravely defending his post. “He fought heroically and embraced martyrdom, becoming a symbol of public service sacrifice and national security resilience,” Rind stated.
The attack also endangered women and children present at the residence during the incident, adding to the scale of the tragedy.
The bank robbery and arson of civil servants’ houses were part of a larger terror operation, which the provincial spokesperson claimed was orchestrated by foreign intelligence proxies. “These actions were carried out on behalf of India-backed networks, aiming to destabilize Balochistan,” Rind said.
Law enforcement agencies including the Frontier Corps (FC), police, and Levies quickly responded to the scene. A joint security operation and clearance mission is now underway in Surab, as authorities vow to eliminate anti-state elements.
The government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and pledged full security for civil infrastructure, financial institutions, and government personnel.
